The answer is no! The issues with Teflon were associated with its use in cookware. The high temperatures that Teflon was subjected to in a frying pan or sauce pan would potentially release harmful emissions. However, Teflon has always been safe when used on fabrics such as tablecloths. Moreover, the composition of Teflon was changed several years ago by removing a chemical called perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) to address the high temperature issues.
